Mariano Pensotti
Mariano Pensotti is an Argentine author and Theater Director. He studied Cinema, Visual Arts and Theater in Buenos Aires, Spain and Italy. In theater as an author and director he created more than fifteen performances in the past ten years. Among his latest creations are Cineastas (Filmmakers) whom was presented in more tan 20 cities around the world.

Sometimes I think I can see you (2010/2011) premiered in Berlin at Hebbel am Ufer as part of Ciudades Paralelas Festival and presented in Buenos Aires, Cologne, Brussels, Zürich, Warsaw, Salamanca, Copenhage, Helsinki, Girona, Paris and Seoul. “Encyclopaedia of unlived lives”(2010) premiered at Schauspielhaus Graz (Austria) and presented during Steirischer Herbst Festival and La Marea (2005/2011) premiered at the FIBA (Buenos Aires International Festival) and then was presented at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts (Brussels), Hebbel am Ufer Theater (Berlin), Homo Novus Festival (Riga), Dublin Festival (Ireland), Festival Automne en Normandie (Rouen), Carrefour International de Théâtre (Québec), Festival Transamériques (Montréal), Yokohama (Japan), Festival Temporada Alta (Girona), Norfolk & Norwich Festival (England), Metropolis Copenhague (Denmark) and Push Festival (Vancouver). In April 2015 he creates Cuando vuelva a casa voy a ser otro which toured in Argentina and Europe in 2016. His last piece, Arde brillante en los bosques de la noche, premiered in January 2017 et HAU (Berlin), and will be on tour in 2017-2018.
Mariano Pensotti has become one of the most noted experimental directors throughout the world. He has been heralded as one of Latin America’s brightest theater talents and he and his company tour extensively throughout the years. He formed the Grupo Marea together with Set Designer Mariana Tirantte and Musician Diego Vainer. In his work he developed two different lines, one composed by stage performances where he writes his own literary texts and the play is strongly based on the work with the actors, and in parallel he produced several site specific performances where the main intention is to create a particular contrast between fiction and reality with fiction performed in public places.

Le bureau Cokot accompagne Mariano Pensotti dans la diffusion et la production déléguée de ses spectacles en France.
Mariano Pensotti est auteur et metteur en scène. Il a étudié le cinéma et les arts visuels à Buenos Aires, en Espagne et en Italie. Au théâtre en tant qu’auteur et metteur en scène, il a créé plus de 15 spectacles et performances ces dix dernières années. Parmi ses plus récentes créations, on compte El pasado es un animal grotesco, La Marea et Cineastas, qui tournent depuis à travers le monde. Mariano Pensotti est devenu un des metteurs en scènes expérimentaux les plus importants de sa génération.
Aux côtés de la scénographe Mariana Tirantte et du musicien Diego Vainer, il forme el Grupo Marea.
Son oeuvre se construit autour de deux axes. D’un côté la scène pour laquelle il écrit et travaille en collaboration avec ses acteurs et en parallèle la performance in situ, dans des lieux spécifiques, avec l’intention de créer un contraste entre fiction et réalité au sein d’espaces publics.
DERNIERE CREATION :
Feu et flamme dans les forêts de la nuit (Arde brillante en los bosques de la noche) a été créé le 12 janvier 2017 au HAU à Berlin dans le cadre du programme « Utopian realities » et du centenaire de la révolution russe (programme « 100 years now » développé par le Haus Der Kulturen der Welt).
