YO ESCRIBO. VOS DIBUJÁS – FEDERICO LEÓN
Le hasard n’existe pas. Il n’y a que des phénomènes synchrones qui attendent d’être interprétés. Après le génie créateur de Las Ideas (2015), c’est cette perception d’un monde sans ordre apparent que Federico León vient mettre au défi avec Yo escribo. Vos dibujás. Dans cette nouvelle création, le réalisateur et metteur en scène argentin nous livre à l’effervescence d’un théâtre devenu kermesse ou foire, un espace dans lequel déambuler au gré des stands, des jeux et des rencontres. Mais voilà qu’un dépliant glissé dans la main nous indique d’autres lectures possibles. Les évènements qu’on pensait jusque-là déconnectés les uns des autres obéissent en réalité à des règles secrètes. L’organisation est d’un autre ordre, on se découvre faire partie d’une communauté ésotérique ou clandestine. Le tout s’active dans ce qui se révèle être une supra-structure, un écosystème dont le chaos n’existe qu’à la surface des choses. Yo escribo. Vos dibujás. nous invite à rejouer notre propre apprentissage du monde. Un parcours labyrinthique à pratiquer, encore et encore.

Yo escribo. Vos dibujás. (I write. You draw.)
Argentinian theatre director and film-maker Federico Léon returns to Brussels for the first time since 2015. With the premiere of Yo escribo. Vos dibujás. (I write. You draw.), he lets you wander around in a parallel world where all sorts of things are going on. While you are handed flyers with messages, you discover different little stands and activities that seem to be quite unrelated to one another. As if you had ended up quite by chance at a kind of fair or public gathering. And yet a certain order gradually becomes perceptible in this seeming chaos. Between the lines and in the combination of the unrelated events, a hidden connection emerges, directed by a school of self-knowledge combining rituals, childhood games, memories and fragments of dreams. Yo escribo. Vos dibujás. ingeniously mediates on the way in which we experience and interpret the world around us. Expect a mysterious journey that declares the individual, superficial gaze bankrupt.
